I have loved Apple Computers for decades. I have built my career and work on these machines. But in the end it is just another PC company with the usual multiculty agenda. -- James Sanchez ========== (http://www.apple.com/contact/feedback.html ( http://www.apple.com/contact/feedback.html )) I had a very disturbing problem at the UVillage store in Seattle a few days ago. While I was waiting for my wife to get some help with her new iPhone, I looked at the software for sale. An Apple sales guy came over and asked me if I needed some help and I said no. But then I added a question. I said, you know it would be nice if my son could look at this software and see a positive role model for him. Your software has: (1) two blacks (a literacy program); (2) two blacks, and a mexican and (3) the Diego program, with one black, one asian and three mexicans. I observed that when all this multicultural stuff started 50 years ago, the argument was that each child needs an appropriate role model, and so minorities should have appropriate role models. Well, fair enough. But now, little European-American (White) boys like mine (who was standing there) have no role models at all, and it would be nice if there were appropriate and positive role models for little boys like mine. (And dare I say it, like the little Steve Jobs.) Then, an obese White woman shoved aggressively towards my son and I and said, "You're a freak, you're a fucking freak." I said, are you objecting to the idea of positive role models for little White boys? She said very loudly: "You're a god damned fucking freak!" And stomped away. I turned back to the Apple guy and said, well, too many people really hate little white children. And I added, Apple should still be considerate about positive role models for all kinds of children, not just minorities. The Apple guy looked at me and at my son, and pointing at a game software package, said here is one that looks like your son. It was a game with a yellow dinosaur with red polka dots on it. I asked him if he really thought that it looked like my boy, and he leaned towards me and said: "I will not say another word to you, I refuse to help you find anything." And he walked away. This is simple bigotry and illegal discrimination on the basis of race and national origin. Apple Computer should be ashamed of itself. And poor old Steve Jobs is probably rolling over in his grave, because he wanted to bring computers to everyone, and yet today the corporation he built hates little White boys. The courtesy of a reply is desired. James Joseph Sanchez, PhD _____________________________ Unsubscribe / Change Profile: http://ymlp214.net/ugmjhqsqgsgbbqguyj Powered by YourMailingListProvider |
