If you're seeing this version, your email program prefers plain text emails. You can read the original version online: http://ymlp219.net/z2l1nr -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hijabs Soon for Edmonton Police "Uniform" Don't worry, how can we change to accommodate you? You chose to leave your failed nation and culture to take advantage of our more successful culture, but you insist on dragging the old ways with you. No problem, we'll change our ways. Not to pull anything so elitist, as the correct usage of OUR language, but "uniform" comes from the Latin "unus" meaning one. A uniform means one (not exceptions for favoured minorities) form. That would seem simple enough but not for one Natasha Goudar with the Equity, Diversity and Human Rights Unit of the Edmonton Police Service. One actually can collected a pay cheque working for such an Orwellian unit? The Edmonton cops are clearly overstaffed. The Edmonton Sun (November 21,2013)reports that Edmonton's finest may soon have several uniforms; well, actually, the hijab for special females and one for the rest of the force, the un-special ones. "A new uniform piece could ‘open doors’ for women of other cultures looking to begin a career with the Edmonton Police Service. At an Edmonton Police Commission meeting Thursday it was revealed that EPS is working on introducing a hijab option to the uniform. ... The head scarf would be black in colour, and sit underneath the standard issued Edmonton police hat. It’s projected that the hijab could be ready to go in spring or summer 2014, Goudar said." And speaking of "opening doors," it isn't police hard heartedness but the intransigence of some minorities to adapt to the ways of the land they've fled to and we benefits they are only too happy to slurp up. But, why should they accommodate? There are always people like Miss Goudar and Police Commission Scott McKeen who can toss over our traditions past enough. "Newly appointed city councillor Scott McKeen was also sworn in as a member of the Edmonton Police Commission Thursday, and said he was impressed and proud of the work Goudar and her team have done.He added that given the lengths that Quebec has gone to ban the cultural headpieces, the progress seen Thursday was even more impressive." So, if Quebec seeks to protect its culture, we automatically go the other way? That used to be called childish or bigoted or just plain stupid. At an Edmonton Police Commission meeting Thursday it was revealed that EPS is working on introducing a hijab option to the uniform. Natasha Goudar with the Equity, Diversity and Human Rights Unit said the conversation started when a recruiter was asked if EPS would “ever even consider allowing someone to wear a hijab.” Goudar says officers have been working closely with various Muslim communities, talking to Imams about cultural implications and requirements. “One of the big concerns for them was an educational element to the introduction of the hijab. They didn’t want to just bring it in and have it sit on a shelf,” she told the commission. Goudar added that so far news of the new uniform piece is having a positive impact on young women in Muslim communities. Those wearing a hijab, who thought a career in policing was out of reach because of their cultural practices are not seeing it as a tangible goal, she said. “One young lady told me that she couldn’t wait to pass this along to her sister, who didn’t think it was possible because she wore a hijab. Now it’s an option,” she said. “We started that conversation, and we’re hopeful we’re going to have a recruit wearing one soon.” The head scarf would be black in colour, and sit underneath the standard issued Edmonton police hat. It’s projected that the hijab could be ready to go in spring or summer 2014, Goudar said. Newly appointed city councillor Scott McKeen was also sworn in as a member of the Edmonton Police Commission Thursday, and said he was impressed and proud of the work Goudar and her team have done. He added that given the lengths that Quebec has gone to ban the cultural headpieces, the progress seen Thursday was even more impressive. “This is coming at a time when another province is going in another direction,” he told the commission. “For that reason, I’m most certainly impressed.” The proposed Quebec Charter of Values threatens to forbid Quebec’s public employees from wearing visible religious symbols — including hijabs, turbans, yarmulkes and larger-than-average crucifixes. It wasn’t that long ago that RCMP officers were prohibited from wearing turbans, a ban was lifted by the Canadian government in 1990 allowing members to don the cultural headpieces. Fromm Addresses London Forum About the Plight of Free Speech in Canada Paul Fromm, Director of the Canadian Association for Free Expression, addressed a packed meeting on the London Forum Friday night, November 14, in the British capital. Canada's old Red Ensign, the flag of the REAL Canada, hangs in the background. Mr. Fromm's talk dealt with the Establishment-en...abled Third World invasion of Canada, the U.S. and Europe. The result in North America will be the replacement of the European founding/settler people by 2050 -- ethnic cleansing on the installment plan. He also discussed the use in Canada of "hate" laws to silence or intimidate opposition to Third World immigration, He recounted our victory in getting rid of Sec. 13 (Internet censorship) of the Canadian Human Rights Act, and updated his audience on the Brad Love case and the ongoing efforts by the Southern Poverty Law Centre to hijack the McCorkill will's bequest to the National Alliance.
