Mahatma Gandhi 'racist and bisexual' claims new book I love it. Gandhi's proving his "chastity" by sleeping with one or two nubile nieces has been long known. That is after he left his wife Kasturbai or cast her by. Perhaps, we don't expect our leaders to be saints, but Gandhi, whom Winston Churchill famously called "a half naked fakir," has enjoyed undeserved sainthood in the secular press as has Martin Luther King, whose close advisers were communists and who plagiarized his doctoral thesis. It's provoking to see silly wully neo-cons adopting the man whom F.B.I. Director J. Edgar Hoover called "the biggest liar in the United States" as some sort of role model. So, *THE TELEGRAPH* is experiencing palpitations that the sainted one, Gandhi, expressed "racist" views about South African Negroes or "kaffirs." I've been to Africa. No surprise here. Racial dislike is the way of the world. African tribes passionately despise one another: Hutus hate Tutsis in Rwanda; Xhosas despise Zulus in South Africa; the Shonas hate the Matabeles in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe.. It's only modern North Americans or some Europeans brain-rotted by anti-racism and egalitarian nonsense, who really believe that there are no racial differences and that people don't notice and care. In another startling revelation, the book claims he held racist views against South African blacks. "We were marched off to a prison intended for Kaffirs," he is quoted as saying during a visit to the country. "We could understand not being classed with whites, but to be placed on the same level as the Natives seemed too much to put up with. Kaffirs are as a rule uncivilised." The *Wall Street Journal* review of the book said it recast Gandhi as "a sexual weirdo, a political incompetent, a fanatical faddist, implacably racist, and a ceaseless self-promoter, professing his love for mankind as a concept while actually despising people as individuals. At the age of 13 Gandhi had been married to 14-year-old Kasturbai Makhanji, but after four children together they split in 1908 so he could be with Kallenbach, the book says. At one point he wrote to the German: ‘Your portrait (the only one) stands on my mantelpiece in my bedroom. The mantelpiece is opposite to the bed.’ Although it is not clear why, Gandhi wrote that vaseline and cotton wool were a ‘constant reminder’ of Kallenbach. He nicknamed himself ‘Upper House’ and his lover ‘Lower House’ and he vowed to make Kallenbach promise not to ‘look lustfully upon any woman’. ‘I cannot imagine a thing as ugly as the intercourse of men and women,’ he later told him. They were separated in 1914 when Gandhi went back to India – Kallenbach was not allowed into India because of the First World War, after which they stayed in touch by letter. As late as 1933 he wrote a letter telling of his unending desire and branding his ex-wife ‘the most venomous woman I have met’. Revolutionary: The claims made in the book are likely to be disputed by millions of Gandhi's followers across the globe Lelyveld’s book goes beyond the myth to paint a very different picture of Gandhi’s private life and makes astonishing claims about his sexuality. It details how even in his 70s he regularly slept with his 17-year-old great niece Manu and and other women but tried to not to become sexually excited. He once told a woman: ‘Despite my best efforts, the organ remained aroused. It was an altogether strange and shameful experience.’ The biography also details one instance in which he forced Manu to walk through a part of the jungle where sexual assaults had in the past taken place just to fetch a pumice stone for him he liked to use to clean his feet. She returned with tears in her eyes but Gandhi just ‘cackled’ and said: ‘If some ruffian had carried you off and you had met your death courageously, my heart would have danced with joy.’ The revelations about Gandhi are likely to be deeply contested by his millions of followers around the world for whom he is revered with almost God-like status. *No Room for European Pride in Canadian Armed Forces* ** A spokesman for the Canadian Armed Forces announced that pride in being Sikh, Aboriginal or Jewish is 'contrary to our ethos,' that 'such attitudes will not be tolerated' and could lead to administrative or disciplinary action, including a dishonorable discharge from the military. No, before reaching for the digitalis, you can be assured that the Armed Forces didn't make such a statement. Had they, heads would roll. The Minister of Defence would resign his post and his seat and slink off in perpetual disgrace. There'd be another government apology, maybe even some cash tossed in for wounded minority pride and feelings. Here IS the pathetic, wimpy statement fittingly made by an unnamed spokesWoman for the Military Police: "Pride in being White is 'contrary to our ethos,' that 'such attitudes will not be tolerated' and could lead to administrative or disciplinary action, including a dishonorable discharge from the military." Something to do with trying to promote democracy and freedoms in that benighted desert land. Right? Canada has been in Afghanistan for years, our troops slowly bleeding for much the same purpose. It's too bad the same fervour for human rights doesn't extend to the Canadian Armed Forces. If you're a member of a privileged minority, you can be proud of your heritage and express yourself. If you're a Sikh, you can be proud and flaunt your differences. The normal headgear uniform (Latin* unus*= one; how ironic) doesn't apply to you. You can wear your turban. However, if you're European and proud, the politically correct Armed Forces commisars want to hunt you down and throw you out. Here's the latest witch hunt directed at a proud member of the Canadian European Majority. As is typical of the totalitarian frame of mind, this latest witch hunt is based on "an anonymous e-mail." "A Winnipeg-based Canadian Forces reservist is being investigated over 'serious allegations of racist activity.'A spokeswoman for the Canadian Forces Military Police said that a probe was launched after the allegations were made in an anonymous e-mail. She said, 'This a very isolated incident and we are taking it very seriously.' The spokeswoman said that pride in being White is 'contrary to our ethos,' that 'such attitudes will not be tolerated' and could lead to administrative or disciplinary action, including a dishonorable discharge from the military. She could not say whether the boy has been suspended during the investigation or has had his duties changed as a result. In unverified postings on his Facebook page, the boy is alleged to have quoted Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, former national leaders of Germany and of Italy. The boy is also alleged to have posted a notice online in which he attempted to seek companions for a road trip from Winnipeg to Calgary, to attend a “White Pride World Wide” march." Of course, if Canada were under attack, that would be a different matter. But to go overseas to fight in another war for Israel or the New World Order seems a waste of our genes. A similar “White Pride” event in 2009 turned violent when people threw rocks and full soup cans at the “White-Priders”. Calgary police said that while a majority of Calgarians may find “White Pride” offensive, White people are still permitted to gather and express their views.
